It’s that time of the month again, when we pick some of the best free Android apps and tell you about them. The first two months of 2023 went by fast. So, this month’s list is for you if you’re worried about how quickly time goes by and how much you get done. On the list are apps that can help you read better, pay more attention, or pay less attention. Let’s dive in!
Every week, hundreds of apps are added to Play Store, but only the most popular ones are highlighted. So, it’s not easy to find a few hidden gems.
That’s why we’re going to update this list of the best free Android apps every month, so you can always have the most up-to-date apps. Also, you don’t have to pay to use any of these apps. Check out our list of the best free Android apps for the month by reading on!
Free Android Apps to Try in March 2023
1. CHALLENGE – WORKOUT AND RELAX: A BRAND NEW WORKOUT APP
Getting into a healthy routine is important in the digital age, when we spend too much time sitting down and too much time in front of screens. Ironically, it seems like the best way to deal with it is to use another app on your screen to help you get fit and healthy.
We saw a lot of these apps in the Play Store and added Challenge: Workout and Relax to our list.
Challenge is an app for working out that helps you get more active every day. The app is easy to use, and we didn’t run into any problems as we moved through it. To start your fitness journey with the app, you get a 30-day exercise plan for your whole body, legs, and abs.
But the “Move” tab is our favourite feature. It has a lot of exercises for full-body workouts, with animations and instructions that make it easy to do the exercises. You also get a set of yoga positions, if that’s your thing.
One small problem is that the app takes a long time to load, which can be annoying at times. Most of the features are available in the free version of the app, and the ads don’t seem to get in the way.
There is a paid version of the app that removes ads and gives you access to all the exercises and training courses.
Price: Free; Pro Version: $2.99/week onwards

2. NOTERLY – SIMPLE REMINDERS: ACCESS NOTES AND REMINDERS IN NOTIFICATION CENTER
Noterly is what you need if you’ve ever wanted to add a reminder for a task to your phone but decided it would be too much work and gave up on the idea. You can make notes and reminders with Noterly and get to them from your notification centre. So, you’ll never forget a note or reminder. It will stay in the notification centre until it is deleted.
You only have to open the app and tap the “Create” button. When you give your note or reminder a title, it will show up in your notification centre. You can mark the task as done right in the notification centre once you’ve finished it.
You can also set up notifications to happen at certain times or at regular intervals, like every six hours, every two days, or every week. The app’s user interface looks good and is in line with the Material You design of Android 12.
We wish, though, that this app had a permanent alert that let us add a note or reminder right away. We’ve also seen the notification go away on its own, but that can be fixed by setting the app to auto-start. There are no ads and it is free to use.

3. LISTY: BEST APP TO TRACK BOOKS, SHOWS, AND MOVIES
We all have that one friend who always brings up movies and TV shows whenever they talk. It is hard to remember all the suggestions if you only use your memory. So, you’d be better off writing them down on your phone.
But the notes app doesn’t have a specific way to keep track of movies, TV shows, music, etc., so you need to use Listy instead.
Listy lets you keep and organise lists of anything, from movies and TV shows to wines and beers. This has to be one of our favourite apps, so it definitely belongs on our list of the best free Android apps.
Once you choose a list and add items to it, it downloads the cover art or album art, which is very pretty. You can also add links to all of your items so that you can get to the content quickly.
It was funny that there was a list of all the Oscar winners for 2022 already there. The app is completely free to use and has no ads. We almost think it’s a must-have.

4. HUMBLE MINIMALIST LAUNCHER: REDUCE YOUR SCREEN TIME
A study done a few years ago found that adults in the United States spend an average of 11 hours a day in front of a screen. This is, at the very least, a cause for concern, and we should always look for ways to limit screen time, especially on our smartphones.
If your home screen has a lot of colourful icons that are easy to get lost in, you probably need a new launcher that only shows you the most important things.
We found a new, simple launcher called “Humble launcher.” It gives you access to only one other app besides the phone app. On your home screen, you also have the clock, the date, and the launcher settings app.
You can’t change much about the launcher besides choosing between a dark and a light theme. We wish there was a way to put the app icon next to the text, but that might be a little bit different from what the app is for.
But the app is completely free to use and does not have any ads.

5. WALLWORLD: HIGH-QUALITY AMOLED WALLPAPERS
Even though your phone comes with some wallpapers, you may not be happy with them and want more for your home screen and lock screen. Especially if your phone has an AMOLED screen, you might want darker wallpapers that were made for that type of screen.
We just found an app called WallWorld that has a great collection of wallpapers like these.
There is a tab in the app that shows new wallpapers, and there is another tab that lets you see the most popular and popular wallpapers in the app. You can also choose wallpapers from different categories and put them on your home screen and lock screen right from the app.
There are a few ads in the app, which can get in the way of how you use it. But the app’s developer says that the ads help pay for the app and keep it free. So, no part of the site is behind a paywall.

6. TRAQUER: TRACK BOOKS AND READING PROGRESS
You just left the bookstore with a bag full of books, which makes you look like an experienced bookworm or so-called bibliophile. But the truth is that you were just attracted to the pretty book covers. Most of the time, these only add a little bit of art to your room at best.
While we keep this between us, how about we suggest an app to help you get into the habit of reading? Traquer is the name of this app.
Many people use Goodreads, but there are much better options out there. Traquer is an app that lets you make a list of books and then keep track of how often you read each day. You can just scan the barcode of the book you want to read, and it will be added to the app automatically.
If you are using a Kindle, you can also add the link to the book on Amazon. Once you start reading, you can update your progress by adding the number of pages you have read or if you are using a Kindle, enter the book percentage. The app shows your reading progress as a graph so you can see how you’re doing and look for ways to improve it.
It also marks each day you read a book in a month with a different colour, to keep you motivated to keep reading. You can also import or export data in a format called “.json.” The best thing about the app is that it is free to use and doesn’t have any ads.

7. JUST RELAX – FOCUS SOUNDS: IMPROVE YOUR FOCUS
You may already have a good idea of the theme of this month’s list, which is to improve your productivity and add good habits to your routine. What’s more important is to keep your mind and attention on these routines as you do them.
Yes, you guessed it, there is an app that will help you improve your focus and concentration no matter what you’re doing. Just Relax is an app that helps you deal with stress by playing focus sounds that have been shown to improve your ability to pay attention.
The app gives you familiar sounds from a keyboard, a clock, a fireplace, or a fan. These sounds help you focus on work in a strange way because they remind you of sounds from your home. You can use sounds from nature, like those from animals, the rain, the ocean, etc., to make the experience more relaxing.
You can use a set of melody sounds and ASMR sounds to send your earbuds to a spa. Or, if you love chaos for whatever reason, there is a set of sounds that includes truck engines, construction sites, and windscreen wipers. Very amusing indeed.
The audios seem to be of high quality, but you can only get a few of them if you pay. There are ads, but they don’t get in the way of what the user is doing.
But one small problem with this app is that the developers worked hard to add every sound possible, but they could have given you more information about how these sounds help you. So, making a better case for themselves and getting more people to download the app.
Price: Free, Paid Version: $5.99 onwards

7 BEST FREE ANDROID APPS FOR FEBRUARY 2023
1. Remotes: All in One Note Taking App
If you like Notion, you will love this app for sure. This is because it does a lot of the same things as the Notion app but has a better user interface.
RemNote is called a “all-in-one” learning tool because it has features for taking notes, managing knowledge bases, making flashcards, and using other learning tools to store and manage information more efficiently.
RemNote is a pretty good tool for writing notes and documents, and it has features that let you add images, links, tags, and source documents. It also emphasises a feature called “Spaced Repetition,” which uses a study plan made by the app to help you build your long-term memory. Once you’ve made the notes, it’s easy to make matching flashcards.
There is also a way to add a linked reference, which lets you add links and references between notes, reference notes to specific topics with contextual links, or even flashcards, which is pretty cool. PDFs can also be marked up, which is a nice touch.
But the user interface was slow at first, but as we used it, it felt better and better. Before you can use the app, you have to sign in. Since it’s a note-taking app, we thought this could be an optional step. The app can be used without having to pay for any of its features.

2. Memix: Turn Your Texts Into Memes
Have you ever seen a video meme that you really want to send to your friends but also wish you could quickly change the text on it? This is no longer a hard thing to do. Memix is one of the more interesting free Android apps we’ve seen that helps you do this.
All you have to do is type in the text, and the video meme will now have the text you chose. You can also share it easily with all of your messaging apps, making you the meme king in your WhatsApp group.
There are a lot of templates to choose from, and it’s easy to find them thanks to the many tags they are put under. The interface is also easy to use. But we wished it had been tweaked more to cut down on the lag.
The good news is that there are no ads in this app and it is free to download. No part of this app requires you to pay to use it. This takes the text messaging game to a whole new level, and rightfully deserves a spot on the best free Android apps list for February 2023.

3. Codora : Powerful QR Code Scanner
QR Codes are omnipresent in our daily lives. And wouldn’t it be great if it had its own app with a few extra features? This is exactly what Codora does. It has a few useful tools and an interface that is easy to use. We found this app to be very interesting, so we thought it should be on our list of the best free Android apps for February.
It has a way to scan QR codes and also make new ones. There are different ways to scan with the scanner. One thing we like is that the “Decoder” feature lets you get the plain text from barcodes. There is also a feature that lets you scan codes quickly one after the other, and you can check the results in the history.
The app also lets you make QR codes in almost every format you can think of. And if you have to make QR codes as part of your job, this app will definitely help you out.
There are ads in the app, but they don’t get in the way, which is a plus. You can get rid of them if you buy the pro version. The pro version also has a dark mode, a fast scan mode, and you can store as many barcodes as you want.
Price: Free; Pro Version: $3.79 onwards

4. SnoreGym: Say Goodbye to Snoring
As its clever name suggests, the SnoreGym app helps you do exercises to stop snoring. This is an app you should check out if your snoring keeps other people up at night.
The app says that weak muscles in the mouth are the main reason why people snore. So, the app gives you exercises to do to strengthen the muscles in your upper airway, which makes you less likely to snore.
This app has exercises with simple animations that make it easy to understand what you need to do. You also get detailed instructions in the form of text.
The app also says that the workouts are based on research and that scientists have tested them and found that they can help stop snoring and make sleep apnea less severe. So, the overall quality of sleep gets better.
SnorGym also lets you keep track of your progress and sync your data so you don’t lose it. But you can only get these features in the paid version of the app. On top of these, you also get three more ways to work out.
But some of the animations don’t match the timing, and sometimes the reminders don’t seem to work. But all in all, we liked what the app has to offer, so we put it on our list of the best free Android apps.
Price: Free; Paid Version: $9.99 onwards
5. Lyritunes: Get Ai-Generated Lyrics
When Dall-E 2 and ChatGPT came out to the public, it was clear that AI was coming to take over. Many apps have been made that use the open-source code from OpenAI. These apps are used for a wide range of things. LyriTunes is one of these apps. It uses Artificial Intelligence to make lyrics.
LyriTunes is just like other AI products in that the user has to type in the text prompt to get the output. So, once you give LyriTunes a few words and phrases, it will write new lyrics that fit your prompt.
You can also add music to the generated lyrics to make a full song with the app. It gives you a lot of choices so you can choose the right track for your lyrics.
There is also a paid version of the app that doesn’t have any ads. But these ads aren’t annoying and won’t get in the way of your use. We think the user interface could be a little bit better, and the singer’s voice needs to be fixed because it lags a lot.
But all AI products are still in their early stages. So, we can hope that updates will make it better over time. Even so, it’s still a good way to make that special someone feel special. So, just go ahead and start.

6. Invoice Maker – Smart Invoice: Generate Invoices With Ease
This app will help you if you are a freelancer or work for yourself. You probably need to hand out a lot of monthly invoices and creating them might be quite time-consuming if you haven’t figured out a way to use a tool for the same.
The app “Invoice Maker” makes it easy to make invoices and keep track of all your bills.
This app lets you make invoices, estimates, and receipts. You can add more information about customers, items, taxes, discounts, and so on. It also lets you add customer information and organise it into multiple lists so that it is easy to find. You can also give your invoice a status that isn’t paid, pending, or paid.
The app is free to use but if you want unlimited invoices and estimates or unlimited clients and items, you have to purchase the pro version. The pro version also lets you sign documents and keep track of invoices.
Price: Free; Pro Version: $2.99 onwards

7. Giftly: Get Cool Gift Ideas
We told you earlier that we were going to pay a little attention to Valentine’s Day and give you a suggestion for an app for the holiday. So, here we are! GIFTLY helps you find the perfect gift for your special someone.
So, if you are out of ideas for gifts, you can check out this app.
To get started, you need to give some basic information about the person you want to give a gift to, such as their name, relationship to you, and age range. You also need to choose their interests, such as arts and crafts, cars, music, food, etc. When you choose Valentine’s Day as the event, you’ll get a list of ideas to look into.
After you choose a gift, you’ll be taken to the Amazon site so you can quickly buy it. Even though we like the idea behind this app, we think the user interface could be changed to make it easier to use.
Also, you don’t have to sign in to use the app, which is a plus. It is also completely free to use, with no paid features.
