The government of Punjab has announced Smart Syllabus for 12th Class 2023 (FA/ICOM) for all Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education. The Punjab government says that for the annual examination programme for 12th class in 2023, the curriculum of all boards has been cut by 30%. This is called a “Accelerated Learning Programme” (ALP).
Notifications can be found on the official website of the Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board, which is pctb.punjab.gov.pk.
Note that there won’t be any changes to the way the papers are set up on the final exam for the second year in 2023. ALP Smart Syllabus is a great opportunity for 2nd year students to prepare their final exam in short time. According to the Punjab Curriculum Authority, many chapters and pages are skipped & included chapter and topic names are mentioned in the smart syllabus of Accelerated Learning Program (ALP) for the assistance of students. This syllabus is applicable only for the above mentioned boards of Punjab.
