A local court denied PTI Senator Azam Swati’s request for bail in the controversial tweet case.
The judge announced the verdict, which was that Azam Swati had done the same crime twice, so his request for bail was denied.
Sohail Khan Swati, the lawyer for the petitioner, said that the Twitter account wasn’t Azam Swati’s and that the prosecutor’s screen shot was used to build the case.
Prosecutor Rizwan Abbasi told the court about the account verification method when he was making his case. He said that well-known politicians and reporters were following Azam Swati’s story. “Also, Azam Swati has never denied the account in question,” he said.
