PPP withdraws demand for making party’s chief minister in Punjab

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) took back its request for the party chief minister in Punjab on Wednesday.

In a statement, the PPP said that former president Asif Ali Zardari was not eligible to become the new leader of the party after Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s expected removal.

He said that the PML-N should be the chief minister because it has the most House members. “Hamza Shehbaz Sharif is just as important to me as Bilawal Bhutto,” he said.
